HALLOWEENESQUE - Carnival of the Dead!
This month Carnivalesque returns to bewitch Coalition with our anarchic Halloweenesque Carnival of the Dead ! Once again a live experience with the spirit of carnival reborn to freak, stomp and cast a spell of good vibes on all you beautiful party animals.
Headlining this spooky fun packed event will be two of Brightons finest. Pirates, Los Piratas playing a unique blend of Latin Roots based tunes, and the Funky Ska outfit Brownstar. Both bands will raise the dead and the roof making all you ghosts and ghouls jump, wiggle and rave. read more »

Kalakuta Millionaires are an Afro-Funk-Latino outfit based in Brighton. Fusing tunes from the heart of 70’s Nigeria to the carnivals of Cuba, the back streets of Brazil and beyond - expect blistering brass, stunning harmonies and an explosive rhythm section! The group has already taken the UK festival scene by storm with their dirty mix of Fela Kuti-inspired brass lines, Latin percussion section, afro-psych organ and JB-style funk riffs.

About Carnivalesque
Inspired by ten years of Global Beets, (the 10 year anniversary party this summer), Carnivalesque will be recreating the electrifying atmosphere of World music for the people, through the international language of music & dance as it is experienced from the streets of Notting Hill, cities of Romania, to the beaches of Trinidad and all over the globe. With the use of authentic décor, the most enthralling live bands and DJ performances accompanied by more weird and wonderful fiesta capers than you can shake a saxophone at, this night is for those who appreciate the true spirit of festival. Working closely with local artists & international acts on tour with the addition of various Parade, Street, Circus and Burlesque performers in full costume will add even more to the experience, creating a true and unique carnival - esque.
You can show your support and become a member of the carnival, you'll get your own membership card which gives you a discount on entry to Carnivalesque.
