NOVEMBER WINTER WARMER
10.30pm – 4am
After a brief respite from the complete madness of last month… Ladies and Gentlemen we present to you again this month our anarchic, unpredictable festival capers! Don't put away your dancing shoes just yet, as the Carnivalesque cocktail is just getting shaken up. Often described as "take one part club, mix with two parts live music, add a twist of sideshow theatrics, shake it all up in a burlesque bodice and pour gently over a crowd that's blown its weekend alliance in the fancy dress shop" We have more weird and wonderful entertainment for November than you can shake a saxophone at!
Here are some of our delights to lick your lips at….
MARACATU NAO E
www.brightonmaracatu.com
Having rocked it with us at the Peace Picnic this summer we're proud to have them back; Maracatu are a 25-piece percussion and dance group who perform folkloric styles from North-east Brazil…. With their driving beat they're guaranteed to lift the spirit and get audiences on their feet!
THE MATZOS
www.myspace.com/matzos
The Matzos have an impeccable record of getting audiences dancing until they drop. There is something about the driving ska-like beats of kicking klezmer, wild, soulful eastern European melodies, infused with latin, arabic and celtic grooves that creates their unique musical-cultural fusion.

THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED
"The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" is a 2002 documentary about the April 2002 Venezuelan coup attempt which briefly deposed Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez. A television crew from Ireland's national broadcaster, RTÉ happened to be recording a documentary about Chávez during the events of April 11, 2002. Shifting focus, they followed the events as they occurred. During their filming, the crew recorded images of the events that they say contradict explanations given by Chávez's opposition, the private media, the US State Department, and then White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer. The documentary says that the coup was the result of a conspiracy between various old guard and anti-Chávez factions within Venezuela and the United States. The pivotal role of the media before and during the coup is highlighted throughout its 75 minutes.
