LAUNCH PARTY - Kicks off with a special appearance by Nick the Record to the turntables mixing up the night with the full all singing, all dancing, horn playing percussion chaos of the CARNIVAL COLLECTIVE, a dubbed out visit from the RESONATORS, some naughtiness from Nancy Boy & Fancy Pants, our monthly special performance- always a surprise, and as many antics as we can pack in from silly costumes to visuals. After 6 months of planning, and by much request of the artists and performers themselves, on the 7th March at the BARFLY Brighton (formerly The Gloucester) we will be launching Carnivalesque, a monthly clubnight which takes place on the first Friday of the month.

Inspired by ten years of Global Beets, Carnivalesque will be recreating the electrifying atmosphere of World music for the people, through the international language of music & dance as it is experienced from the streets of Notting Hill, cities of Romania, to the beaches of Trinidad and all over the globe. With the use of authentic décor, the most enthralling live bands and DJ performances accompanied by more weird and wonderful fiesta capers than you can shake a saxaphone at, this night is for those who appreciate the true spirit of festival. Working closely with local artists & international acts on tour with the addition of various Parade, Street, Circus and Burlesque performers in full costume will add even more to the experience, creating a true and unique Carnivalesque.
