It's a surprise!!

It’s Outragesque! Carnivalesque has been shafted at the last minute by the ‘lovely’ folks at the Barfly head office who kindly informed us of their closing down at 5:30pm on Monday 2nd June, just three working days before our Friday 6th gig which had been planned for months, and that they were well aware of. They have told us on several occasions that our night was the best selling and made the most on the bar of all the events held there regularly so this is not just shockingly bad business practice but it feels like a real personal kick in the teeth and is extremely disrespectful to us as the people who’ve been promoting and publicising their venue as well as running the most successful regular night there. As a result of this SHRI has pulled out, which we are devastated about but we will endeavour to make it up to all our supporters- we are truly gutted about the situation, regardless of financial issues this is a real blow to us and we really don’t want to let down all our awesome supporters who have really made Carnivalesque what it is, so the increased price for this month has been put back to the regular £6/8/10. If you have bought a ticket for £10 then on the door we will refund the £2 difference..

We have been offered the legendary Pressure Point (over the road from the Barfly), which has sadly shut down recently but they have very kindly offered to reopen for one night only.. This means Carnivalesque will be spread over 2 floors with even more DJs and bands which we are in the process of confirming now- I’m sure you appreciate this is extremely hard at such short notice so bare with us and you won’t be disappointed

Still confirmed and ready to rock the place are

4 X 4 - Bhangra dancers, drummers and upbeat asian vibes..

&

Bloco Fogo - Brazilian, Cuban and African influenced samba rhythms..

DJ support comes from the exquisite Equal-I and the groovy Ghecko

Expect more DJs and live acts to be announced shortly, it's very hectic at short notice I'm sure you can understand...

And of course all the usual madness: performers, cakes, fancy dress and whatnot!
